Ayurvedic

The word “Ayurveda” is derived from two words ‘Ayus’ meaning life and ‘Veda’ meaning ‘knowledge’ or ‘science’. Hence, Ayurveda is ‘The Science of Life’. Life or Ayus, according to Ayurveda, is a combination of senses, mind, body and soul. So Ayurveda does not just limit itself to the body (or) physical symptoms, but provides comprehensive knowledge on spiritual, mental and emotional health as it adopts a holistic approach to life. Not only does it provide guidelines on diet, lifestyle, and exercise regimens and much more, it also teaches us how to live in harmony with our society, nature and the universe at large without disturbing the delicate balance of Nature.

FAQs

  1. Why Ayurveda is unique then other system of medicine ?
It is one of the oldest scientific medical systems in the world, with a long record of clinical experience. However, it is not only a system of medicine in the conventional sense of curing disease. It is also a way of life that teaches us how to maintain and protect health. It shows us both how to cure disease and how to promote longevity. Ayurveda treats man as a “whole” – which is a combination of body, mind and soul. Therefore it is a truly holistic and integral medical system.
